Pathology Assistant

Location: Baltimore, MD
This position is performed under the direction and supervision of a licensed Pathologist and requires comprehensive knowledge of Anatomic Pathology processes, scientific principles, practices, concepts, and theories in order to perform a variety of duties in surgical and/or autopsy pathology within the scope of practice.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of Anatomic Pathology processes, scientific principles and practices, concepts, and theories providing for sound independent work
- At least one year of working experience as a Pathology Assistant preferred
- Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Pathologists Assistant training program required
- Certification as a Pathologists Assistant from ASCP BOC, preferred, unless required by state or client contract
- State licensure, per state or client contract
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
