The Licensed Social Worker collaborates with the multi-disciplinary team to provide input in the development of the plan of care for those clients requiring social work intervention. The Licensed Social Worker will provide support, advocacy, and resources to individuals and families facing various challenges. This role involves conducting assessments, developing care plans, coordinating services, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote overall well-being.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution required
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) required or current state registration as a Registered Social Worker (RSW) depending on state in which they will be working.
- Minimum of one year of social work experience preferred
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age

Next Start (aka next available defensive tactics course): 6/10, July, and August. Only 8-10 spots are available for each class. A spot cannot be secured until HCP clears CDOC backgrounds which takes on average 1 month. All HCPs must be flexible on DT assigned.
All CDOC contractors are required to complete a 4-day DEFENSIVE TACTICS course (usually) at Headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO. During DT, individuals will be required to take and pass both a physical and written assessment. If they do not pass, they will have 1 remaining attempt the following Mon/Tues of the next week. If they fail a test on the 2nd attempt, they will be sent home.

This means your candidate should research the areas they could be working within as many locations are rural, in the mountains, or may have limited housing. There are 19 state-run facilities. We get quicker wins when candidates are open to an area rather than just a specific worksite.
