Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the school setting is responsible for completing student evaluations, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and providing direct therapy services. The SLP will document services in accordance with professional standards, district guidelines, and physician orders, while collaborating with school staff and families to support student success.
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments
- Provide direct therapy services aligned with each student’s individualized plan of care
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
- Collaborate with special education teams, school staff, and families
- Support students with extensive support needs
- Manage a caseload of approximately 63 secondary students
Minimum Requirements
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of assignment (California)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required per state or contract
- Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR certification, if applicable
- Completion of TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray)
- Current health certificate, per state regulation or contract
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Compensation & Pay Packages
- Local Pay Rate: $75/hour
- Travel Weekly Pay: $3,035/week

- Bilingual Spanish skills are strongly preferred
- In-person placement is preferred, but virtual providers will be considered
