The Electrophysiology Technician (EP Tech) performs diagnostic electrophysiology procedures and interventions per physician orders. The Electrophysiology Technician is responsible for supporting the cardiologist during cardiac procedures, preparing the patient for procedures and ensuring all equipment and instrumentation is in working order. The Electrophysiology Technician will place cardiac electrophysiology catheters, interpret data and read electrocardiograms. The Electrophysiology Technician will provide specialized technical support and assist the physician.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Two (2) years of experience in EP/Cath Lab preferred
- Electrophysiology Technician certification or applicable certification required by state, contract or client requirements
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
