At Amergis, we know that real stories resonate, especially when they’re told by the people who live them every day. Our team is made up of professionals who are more than just staffing experts; they’re storytellers, relationship builders, and champions of meaningful work in healthcare and education staffing. Their voices reflect the heart of our mission, and we’re proud to amplify them through our growing influencer program.

We’re excited to introduce the newest class of Amergis Social Media Influencers, a group of standout team members selected for their authenticity, creativity, and passion for sharing the Amergis experience. From behind-the-scenes moments to recruiter insights and success stories, they’ll offer a fresh look at the impact we make together.

We asked the group to tell us about their roles and what motivates them to bring our mission to life, one post at a time.

    Q&A with Our Influencers

    Leah Novogradac

Tell us about your role at Amergis and what inspires you.

I’ve been a recruiter with Amergis since 2022, and in March 2025, I joined the Diversity & Inclusion Ambassador program for our Portland Educational Staffing team. What inspires me is the opportunity to work with school-based professionals who make a meaningful impact in students’ lives every day.

Growing up, I was part of the 504 program, and my school psychologist and counselor played a pivotal role in supporting and guiding me through that journey. Their compassion and dedication left an impression on me.  Being able to recruit and collaborate with professionals who provide that same level of care genuinely make me happy. It feels incredibly rewarding to help place individuals who are making the kind of difference that once made all the difference for me.

What type of content do you enjoy creating the most so far, and why?

I love creating personable, authentic content—especially on LinkedIn. It gives me a chance to show that I’m not just a recruiter, but a real person with interests, quirks, and a life outside of work—just like the school-based professionals I partner with. Work is important, but it’s not everything, and I think it’s powerful to reflect that in the content I share.

Whether it’s a mini vlog, a reel featuring my cat Ivy, or a glimpse into my day, I’ve noticed that these personal posts resonate more than job listings. They spark conversations and connections. I especially enjoy when school-based professionals share little pieces of their lives with me—photos of their dogs, vacation snapshots, or just fun updates. Those moments remind me that relationships are at the heart of what we do, and that’s what makes content creation so rewarding.

What advice do you have for your colleagues who are looking to use social media?

If you’re thinking about doing social media—do it! It might feel intimidating at first because, yes, it’s the internet and it’s public. But honestly, who cares? Life’s too short to hold back from opportunities that could help you grow, connect, and express yourself.

Start by finding your niche. What makes you, you? What do you bring to the table that others might relate to, learn from, or enjoy? Whether it’s sharing your day-to-day experiences, highlighting your passions, or just being real—your authenticity is what will draw people in.

I am currently working as an Account Recruiting Manager and a Recruiter Lead Manager out of the Manchester, New Hampshire office. Making a difference in the community is what inspires me. My favorite calls are of me telling people that they have gotten accepted for a role that they have dreamed of having. Working with the healthcare community brings me a lot of joy 😊

What type of content do you enjoy creating the most so far, and why?

I enjoy posting about my interactions with my clients and healthcare professionals! I think it is important to shed light on all their hard work. I also want to show everyone what it is like to work for Amergis on both the internal side and external side. I am proud to work for this company and want others to see that

What advice do you have for your colleagues who are looking to use social media?

My advice to colleagues in terms of posting on social media is to let their personality shine through. Show that you are a real person and why this type of content is important to you. Pay attention to trends online and always remember that it can take time to reach the right people, but it will happen!

Tell us about your role at Amergis and what inspires you.

My Amergis Journey: I started at Amergis on March 21, 2022 as a Recruiter for Commercial Services, under the leadership of Robert Weir—a mentor whose impact I carry with me. I first heard about the role in December 2021, but was initially overlooked by a Schools BDM. Months later, Bert reached out, I came in for the pit sit, and was offered the position.

From day one, I was impressed by the structure and support Amergis offered—from training to clearly defined processes. Coming from a recruiting background where I learned on the fly (starting at the front desk of a staffing company), this was a refreshing and empowering shift.

I quickly found my stride in education staffing, and was later transitioned to a Schools Recruiter. Though I applied for both BDM and AM roles and wasn’t selected at first, I stayed focused, kept growing, and when a third opportunity opened up—I knew I was ready to lead.

Starting out with no accounts in Northeast PA, I leaned into the challenge. Every step of this journey has taught me resilience, adaptability, and the power of believing in your own growth.

What type of content do you enjoy creating the most so far, and why?

I enjoy creating reels because they offer a dynamic and engaging way to express creativity within a short timeframe. The ability to combine music, visuals, and text allows for endless possibilities, making each reel a unique form of storytelling. Staying creative is important to me—I believe creativity is inherent in all of us, and nurturing it keeps life light, fun, and inspiring.

What advice do you have for your colleagues who are looking to use social media?

My best advice is to be bold—don’t hesitate to post content and actively engage with others. I recommend following professionals in key fields such as nursing, education, and behavioral health to expand your reach and foster meaningful connections. By doing so, you not only increase visibility and engagement, but also help spread the word that Amergis is staffed, contracted, and fully committed to delivering exceptional service.

Tell us about your role at Amergis and what inspires you.

As an Account Manager at Amergis, my role centers around building meaningful relationships—with clients, healthcare professionals, and internal teams—to ensure we deliver exceptional staffing solutions that truly make a difference. I act as the bridge between our clients’ needs and our talent pool, working proactively to understand each organization’s unique challenges and match them with the right professionals who can elevate patient care and outcomes.

What inspires me most is the impact we make beyond the numbers. Every placement isn’t just a job filled—it’s a nurse supporting a struggling patient, a therapist helping someone find their voice, or a clinician bringing comfort to a family. But just as important, I’m inspired every single day by the incredible team I work with in the Harrisburg office. It’s filled with hardworking, driven individuals who bring passion, energy, and heart to everything they do. Their dedication pushes me to keep striving for excellence and reminds me why I love what I do. Being surrounded by that kind of work ethic and camaraderie makes even the toughest days rewarding.

What type of content do you enjoy creating the most so far, and why?

One of the things I enjoy most in my role is creating content that highlights the vibrant culture of our Harrisburg office. We have such a dynamic, hardworking team, and I love capturing moments that reflect our energy, collaboration, and commitment to excellence. Whether it’s celebrating wins, spotlighting team members, or sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses, it’s rewarding to showcase what makes our office special.

I also find a lot of fulfillment in featuring new staff as they step into exciting opportunities. Watching them grow, connect, and thrive in their roles—and being able to document and share that journey—is incredibly inspiring. It’s a great way to build community and show others what’s possible here at Amergis.

What advice do you have for your colleagues who are looking to use social media?

If you’re thinking about using social media to highlight your work at Amergis, my biggest advice is to be authentic. Share what makes your office special—whether it’s team wins, welcoming new staff, or everyday moments that show your culture. At our Harrisburg office, I love capturing the energy and dedication of our team, and it’s amazing how those small glimpses can build connection and pride.

Spotlighting new hires is also a great way to show growth and opportunity. It helps others see the supportive, people-first environment we’ve built. And remember—consistency matters. You don’t have to post every day, but showing up regularly with positive, thoughtful content goes a long way.

    Alexandra DeMarco

Tell us about your role at Amergis and what inspires you.

I’m an Educational Services Business Development Manager based out of our Pittsburgh office. I’ve been with Amergis for 4.5 years, with the last 3.5 years in my current role. I started as an ES recruiter and have grown into a BDM, so I’m truly an ES gal through and through! What inspires me most is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the education space while building lasting relationships with our partners and teams. I could not do what I do without the schools we support, and our hard working recruitment teams filling our requisitions!

What type of content do you enjoy creating the most so far, and why?

I’ve really enjoyed being active on LinkedIn! Sharing the events I’m involved in—like walk-ins, the Polar Plunge, and our local Stuff-a-Bus for Christmas—is something I love. These moments highlight our community involvement, which is incredibly important to me. It’s about giving back to the communities we serve with our time and talents, and I’m proud to be part of that. We are committed to making a difference beyond the workplace.

What advice do you have for your colleagues who are looking to use social media?

Be authentic! Not everything I post is picture-perfect, but it always reflects who I am and my real personality. Social media is a great way to connect, celebrate, and share your journey, so don’t be afraid to show up as yourself. I am always engaging, whether is commenting or tossing a reaction on a post.
