Celebrating a Career – Thank you, Mary
Mary Craig is officially hanging up her scrubs and her stethoscope and calling it a career!
She has been an absolute joy to work with, and she has remained committed and loyal to Maxim for nearly 10 years. That loyalty is not only a reflection of her character, but of her love for Maxim and the common core competencies of caring, serving, and enriching lives.
“Travel nursing has been wonderful; it’s restored my passion in nursing—and I’m a free bird working with Maxim,” said the newly-retired travel nurse.
Mary started her travel nursing journey with us in 2013. She worked in acute care facilities under 12-week contracts. Wherever Mary worked, she got stellar reviews and had facilities calling her back to extend her contract. Within these short periods of time, Mary was able to take charge and improve the internal processes within each facility. She worked for the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) project, Maxim’s first large-scale acute care project.
Recruiters who have had the privilege of working with Mary have all spoken about her passion, her drive to help others, and above all, her sheer kindness and humbleness. Being awarded Caregiver of the Year in 2019, Mary is truly a special caregiver with a wonderful heart, and sets an excellent example of what a great nurse should be.
Her loyalty, passion, and love for her patients exude everything the Maxim brand stands for and although we are saddened to see her go, she is well deserving of the new and exciting journey that awaits her.
