Medical Assistant (Clinic) – 2 Openings

Location: South Bend, WA

Facility Type: Rural, Critical Access Hospital

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Start Date: February 10, 2026

Hours per Week: 40

Pay Details

Local Pay: $32/hr

Travel Pay:

  • Hourly Rate: $17.50/hr
  • Meals Per Diem: $300/week
  • Housing Per Diem: $500/week
  • Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,500/week

 

Position Overview

We are seeking two certified Medical Assistants (MA-C) to support outpatient clinic operations in a rural healthcare setting. This role is ideal for clinicians who enjoy community-oriented care and working in a small, supportive team. Please note that no facility housing is available.

Schedule Options

Two schedule structures are available:

  • Monday – Thursday
  • Tuesday – Friday
    Shift Hours:
    7:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Room patients and obtain vitals
  • Assist providers with clinical tasks within MA-C scope
  • Support clinic workflow and patient communication
  • Prepare, clean, and restock exam rooms
  • Maintain accurate documentation and assist with general clinic operations

Requirements

  • Active Washington MA-C license
  • Previous outpatient clinic experience preferred
  • Strong communication and patient service skills
  • Ability to work independently in a rural environment
  • Must complete virtual client interview prior to offer
  • Client interview required
  • Virtual interview format

 

Additional Details

  • Rural location with no housing options provided; reliable transportation required

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Assistant responsible for performing duties under the direction of a physician to assist in the examination and treatment of patients. 

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School diploma or its equivalent
  • Good telephone communication skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of medical procedures
  • Knowledge of clerical functions
  • Current CPR card (if applicable)
  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray (if applicable)
  • Current Health Certificate (if applicable)
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program; certification preferred
  • Minimum of one year relevant experience preferred.
  • Relevant certification/ license if applicable.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
