About the Role
Hopkinton Schools is seeking a skilled and collaborative Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students and staff at an Elementary School. The BCBA will develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for students with developmental disabilities—including Autism Spectrum Disorder—and provide ongoing staff training in protocol implementation, data collection, and progress monitoring.
This role reports to the Principal and the Director of Student Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with staff regarding behavior plans, curriculum modifications, accommodations, and social skills instruction.
- Provide resources, tools, and in-class modeling of behavior intervention techniques.
- Oversee and support school staff in behavior programming, IEP implementation, and participate in IEP meetings as assigned.
- Develop, oversee, and assess effectiveness of Behavior Intervention Plans and curriculum modifications.
- Conduct behavioral assessments and develop FBAs and behavior plans.
- Coordinate communication between home and school related to home-based goals, and provide behavior consultation to families.
- Supervise and monitor home-based goals, objectives, and related staff.
- Ensure timely completion of home-based plans and progress reports.
- Support transitions from Early Intervention to school programs and from school to community agencies as students approach age 22.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities
- Strong collaboration and consultation skills
- School-based experience preferred
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis, teaching, psychology or related field
- Preferred experience providing behavior analytic programs and services
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
