Position Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will evaluate students, develop individualized therapy plans, provide therapy services, and document progress in accordance with each student’s plan of care and physician’s orders. Under the direction of the Special Education Director, the SLP organizes and implements a comprehensive speech-language program, identifies students needing intervention, assesses their unique needs, and collaborates with educational staff and families to support student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct student evaluations and assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services and progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and program effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in the state of assignment.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred (may be required by state/contract).
- Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
- Current CPR certification (if applicable).
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable).
- Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Pay Package
Travel SLP:
- Pay Rate: $44/hour
- Meals: $644
- Housing: $1,435
- Total Package: $3,839
Local SLP:
- Pay Rate: $90/hour
