Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Correctional Facility | Billerica, MA
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is proud to partner with a respected correctional facility in Billerica, MA, currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full-time positions. Correctional or psychiatric experience is required.
Position Details:
- Location: Billerica, MA
- Duration: 6 months to start, with the likelihood of an extension
- Facility Type: Correctional Facility
- Shifts: Tuesday–Saturday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM or 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Pay: $48/hr local, $2,050 gross/week travel
- Start Date: December 8th
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and assist with medical treatments
- Perform triage, risk assessments, and emergency first aid
- Apply surgical dressings and bandages
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Collect specimens for diagnostic testing
- Document care accurately and timely
- Report reactions to treatments and changes in patient condition
- Educate patients and assist with discharge planning
- Promote a therapeutic and professional environment
- Support physicians and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts LPN license or proof of application
- Minimum 1 year of correctional healthcare or psychiatric experience
- Current CPR certification
- Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)
