Position Summary
We are seeking a certified Phlebotomist to join our team in a correctional healthcare setting in Boston, MA. This role is essential for specimen collection and laboratory coordination while maintaining safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and process blood and other specimens; ensure proper labeling and documentation.
  • Coordinate specimen transportation and processing with laboratory vendors.
  • Maintain phlebotomy area cleanliness and stock supplies.
  • Perform daily sharps counts and log totals.
  • Monitor and document refrigerator temperatures.
  • Follow all laboratory, infection control, and security protocols.
  • Order and manage lab supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Document lab results and ensure provider sign-off.
  • Comply with state and federal regulations and facility guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Phlebotomist Certification required.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months of prior phlebotomy experience.
  • Must pass facility background clearance.
