Job Description:

As a Correctional Nurse, you’ll work in asecure, collaborative environment providing essential care to incarceratedindividuals. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow professionally whilesupporting public health and safety.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Provide routine and emergency care to inmates
- Administer medications and manage chronic/acute conditions
- Conduct health assessments and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, mental health staff, and correctional officers
- Respond to medical emergencies and participate in crisis interventions
- Educate patients on wellness and preventive care
- Uphold facility protocols and healthcare standards
Qualifications:
- Active LPN license in Virginia
- Minimum 1 year of correctional healthcare experience
- Current BLS certification
- TB screening (PPD, chest x-ray, or questionnaire)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Weekend availability required
- Willingness to travel or relocate for the assignment
