The Nurse Practitioner provides health care services topatients within scope of license, performs physical examinations and diagnostictests, assessments and screenings, prescribes medications, and instructspatients and family members on medical conditions and treatment. Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner may havean area of specialty practice.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Nurse Practitioner Certification and license in Indiana state
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a nationallyaccredited nursing organization (e.g. American Academy of Nurse Practitioners –AANP, American Nurses Credentialing Center – ANCC) is required
- One year experience as an NP in primary care with the adult, geriatric, or elderly population is highly preferred
- Maintain collaboration agreements, per state requirements
- Current BLS required
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
