The Sleep Technician or Polysomnographer performs routineand complex procedures, to obtain data for use in the diagnosis of clinicaldisorders of the nervous system, in at least two of the following fields oftechnical Neurophysiology: Electroencephalograph, Evoked Potentials, orEpilepsy and Sleep.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate's degree in a biological or physiological sciencesprogram or equivalent number of years’ experience in a biological orpsychological field; as required by state regulations or contractspecifications
- National Board Registration in one or more of three areas:EEG, Evoked Potential, Polysomnography is preferred and may be required bystate regulations or contract specifications
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
