The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible fordecontamination, assembly of linen packs, operation of steam, ETO and otherforms of sterilization. The Sterile Processing Technician maintains adequateinventory for assembly of instruments and equipment and performs multiple tasksthat assist in the daily operation of all units as well as being responsiblefor customer service.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent?
- Certification as required by state regulations or contractspecifications?
- Certification for sterile processing technicians by theInternational Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management(IAHCSMM) or the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution(CBSPD) may be required
- One (1) year of experience in sterile processing preferred?
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
CRCSTNeeded 40hrs/week Shift 3p-11:30p M-F Required: National SPT Certification BLS
Must havelevel 1 or 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years.
